Create a Balloon Boss Mindset. What does that mean?

The definition of boss:
Noun – in a person who is in charge of a worker, group or organization.
Verb – give orders in a domineering manner.
Adjective – excellent, outstanding.

Most balloon professionals I have met in the industry since 2003 got into the world of balloons because of their love of being creative and the satisfaction of creating lovely works of art out of balloons that brings joy to the world.

When I start talking about having a boss mindset many creatives cringe a bit as we want to have fun, and not so much worry about the business side of things. The good news is you can create a balance and have both!

  1. Surround yourself with like minded balloon professionals
  2. Read the book The E Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber to understand the difference between being an owner of a business, and being self employed they are 2 different things.
  3. Invest in your business knowledge locally to get connected to your business community.

Today I want to introduce you to a “creative” who is now a Balloon Boss!
Meet Tabitha Miller, owner of Animated Art in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Check out her install in the midst of a Pandemic and new balloon van purchased with balloon earnings!

Tabitha started as a face painter and entertainer and then found out about the world of balloons. She has invested in training over the years to perfect her craft and grow her business. She created a Balloon Boss Mindset.

Tabitha is one of the top Balloon Boss Mastermind members I think of when I hear the words Take Action Thrive! It has been really rewarding and inspiring to see the growth steps she has taken in her business in the last year.

I asked Tabitha what her top take aways were from attending Balloon Coach Training in Orlando in November of 2019 learning from our team of instructors, and how it has helped her make her business dreams a reality in the midst of social distancing.

Tabitha replied:
1. Dream your biggest dream and then take action!
2. Truly understanding pricing for profit, thanks to candid conversations with other balloon professionals.
3. You are the CEO of a company and deserve to be compensated as such.
4. Hire people to do the things you aren’t good at.
5. Confidence to use the pipe bender to make number displays from Gary Ledbetter.

Why are you returning to Balloon Boss Summit after attending the Orlando training last year?

“To be a better BOSS! To learn more about smart business practices, get more organized, to be able to continue to grow learning new business tips and tricks.”

Tabitha’s story can be your story!
