Prep and packing for a Balloon Training/Convention can start as early as 2 months prior to you leaving. I encourage you to review this list a week in advance at minimum to make your time away from home and your balloon biz be as smooth as possible.
Part of making the most out of your investment (ROI) is to prepare in advance to be out of the office and away from home. In the Balloon Coach Prep list I share tips on steps you can take in advance to allow your focus to be in the classroom and engaging with other balloon designers, rather than stuck on your phone talking and texting with your team and family.
I encourage you to review the schedule and select times for daily or a couple time a week communication with your team or family when it will not disrupt your learning. Sometimes things pop up you will have to deal with, however if your prepare your team and family to function without you, you will be able to focus on the moments and training you invested in.
If we have not met yet, I’m Joette Giardina from Lakeland, FL. Owner of Party People Celebration Company in Lakeland FL from 2003-2015, at which time I sold my balloon decor company to start BalloonCoach.com for online and in person training to help balloon designers like you save time and money as you grow your thriving balloon business.
Over the years I have invested a lot of money in attending trainings from sessions in Florida, 4 hours from my home to traveling to Ohio, Georgia, Las Vegas, Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Denver, New Orleans and San Francisco. I have created a prep and pack list based on those experiences. When I first started traveling for balloon training my daughter was 4; now she is 26!!!
I had some of my annual customers have large events while I was out of town teaching at FLOAT, so the tips on preparing your team before you go came from that. Hope these tips help you make the most ROI!
One of the KEYS is for you to TAKE ACTION on what you learn after you get home.

The thing I love MOST about attending balloon training is connecting with like minded balloon professionals who when our family and friends do not understand our passion and struggles as a balloon biz owner, our Balloon Friends “get us”. Find your tribe, a group of friends to hold each other accountable and grow together…
I have created Balloon Coach training to help be a connecting point for you…
Look forward to seeing you soon at a training..
